PhD defense
[December, 20 2016] This is the turn of Julien Gronnier to defend his thesis work, entitled « Function of Plant Plasma Membrane Nanodomains: Study of Group 1 REMORINs during Plant-Virus Interactions« . Excellent job Julien!
PhD Defense
[December, 9 2016] William Nicolas defended his thesis work, entitled « Understanding plasmodesmata membrane organization and the control of cell-to-cell connectivity in plants » directed by Emmanuelle Bayer and Lysiane Brocard. To celebrate we had a beautiful cake! Congratulations Dr Nicolas.
Collaboration
Ass. Pr. Minoru Nagano came form Saitama university to present his work: « Plasma membrane microdomains are essential for rice innate immunity ». We had a good tchat afteward which preludes to nice collaborations… See you then Minoru.

27-28 october 2016: Sébastien Mongrand and Laetitia Fouillen attended in the « journées LipidomYste » in Toulouse.
Invited speaker
21 October 2016: Jean-claude Tabet, Emeritus professor in chemistry at University Pierre et Marie Curie gave a seminar invited by laetitia Fouillen LBM-PMB MetaboHub and the FR BIE on « Quelles doivent être les conditions pour que l’ESI/MS devienne un outil puissant pour l’étude des complexes non covalents? Le point de vue de l’homme de l’Art. »
Welcome
Marie Brault was recruited by the LBM for a one year assistant engineer position to work on plasmodesmata in the context of the ANR project CONNECT coordinated by Manue. All the best, Marie
Publications
To orient their growth plants target some proteins to one side of the cell. Valérie, Nicolas, Jérôme, Fred, Sébastien, Patrick and Yohann now reveal in a study published in Nature Communications that cells employ the peculiar lipid composition of one intracellular central hub called trans-Golgi Network (TGN), a post-Golgi compartment that act as a sorting
Welcome
The LBM welcomes a new researcher with a CNRS position ! After her thesis with Jérôme at the LBM, and a post-doc in Daniel Klionsky’s lab, University of Michigan USA, Amélie Bernard will develop a new project at the LBM on autophagy in plants. All the best for your research!
Welcome
Christophe Rocher (Ingénieur d’études at the University of Bordeaux) just arrived in the LBM. Welcome !
Journée de spéctrométrie de masse
27-30 September 2016: Laetitia Fouillen participated to the 33rd edition of “Journées de Spectrométrie de Masse” in Bordeaux, where she present a poster « Lipidomics workflow to study the natural variability of palm oil”. Laetitia have also work on the local organizing committee for the congress.
