Mid-term Thesis
Marguerite Batsale presented her mid-thesis today : Elucidating and exploiting the functional redundancy of VLCFA elongation enzymes in Arabidopsis thaliana Thanks to Frédéric Beaudoin (Rothamsted Research, UK) and Florence Bordes (Toulouse Biotechnology Institute) for their participation in her committee

NEW RESEARCH PROGRAMME
The Department of Environmental Sciences of the university of Bordeaux led by Jérôme Joubès et Magalie Baudrimont is happy to announce that the « Bordeaux Plant Science » program led by Yves Gibon has been approved for the next 4 years as Grand Programme de Recherche (GPR) ! This is wonderful news for the Bordeaux plant science
Mid-Term Thesis
Delphine Bahammou presented her mi-thesis: « Study of the lipid distribution of the plant plasma membrane bilayer ». @BdxMetabolome Thanks to Sophie Layé, Justine Bertrand-Michel, Patricia Gerbeau-Pissot & Benoît Pinson for their participation to her committee

Special Issue « Dynamic Membranes »
Teun Munnik , Viktor Žárský and Sébastien Mongrand edited a series of reviews in « Dynamic Membranes » in Plant Physiology @PlantPhys https://doi.org/10.1093/plphys/kiaa107. Check that and read inside our review on the amazing REMORIN proteins doi: 10.1093/plphys/kiaa063 by Paul Gouguet @PaulGoug et coll.

Departure
It was the last day of Marion Rocher today! After almost 3 years with us, we are sad to see you leaving us but happy to know that a new life start for you at Mont de Marsan. Good luck Marion, we will miss you a lot <3

Publication
Check out our new collaborative publication to understand the biophysical features of GIPCs in plant plasma membranes ! Thank you all for your contributions @AddilahMCassim @Jenny_Mortimer1 @SebastienMongr1 @LFouillen. Journal Biol Chem. 2021 Mar 27;100602. doi: 10.1016/j.jbc.2021.100602. Seminar
Yoko Ito, post-doc in the team of Yohann Boutté, gave a seminar at the Webinar Young Japanese Researcher in France entitled: Sphingolipids mediate polar sorting of PIN2 through phosphoinositide consumption at the trans-Golgi Network The lipid composition of organelles acts as a landmark to define membrane identity and specify subcellular function. Phosphoinositides are anionic lipids acting in
