Yohann and Patrick have organized the 19th ENPER (European Network for Plant Endomembrane Research) meeting in Bordeaux from August 30 to September 02 – 2016.
ENPER is the first and oldest international conference on plant membranes research (created in 1996 by Pr. David Robinson). This year, about 120 scientists gathered essentially from Europe but also from around the world (North America, South America and Asia) participated to this meeting at the IBIS in Bordeaux.
Themes covered studies on the elements of the trafficking machineries in secretion, endocytosis and recycling pathways, and function and dynamics of the endomembranes and plasma membrane in cell polarity and plant development. According to the original philosophy of this meeting, time to speak was essentially given to young researchers (PhD students and Post-docs). The discussions during the meeting were rich and intense.
This meeting was also the opportunity of our community to celebrate the fantastic career of Pr. Natasha Raikhel.
The meeting was a great success, thanks to all the speakers and participants!
